| North British Columbia Canada campgrounds and rv parks are located, both, locally and remotely. Some campgrounds are situated within community boundaries while others are located throughout the wilderness regions of the north. There are campgrounds of convenience and campgrounds of rustic solitude.
In Northern British Columbia there are national, provincial, regional, community, recreational and privately operated campgrounds and rv parks. Many camps and parks are located on the shores of lakes, in the thick of forests and on the banks of rivers. Campgrounds are often on the doorstep of nature and outdoor activity.
The national, provincial, regional and community campgrounds and rv parks are developed sites and paying campgrounds. The campgrounds vary in services and amenities. Services may include sani dump, showers, washrooms, picnic tables, firewood, picnic shelters, laundry rooms. power sites, tv, tap water and internet.
The larger campgrounds may also include a general store, museum, hiking trails, equipment rentals, boat launches, marinas, playgrounds, concession stands, sandy beaches, park guides and sightseeing tours.
The recreation campsites are located in the backcountry wilderness regions of Northern BC. Many are located at the end of long, rough gravel roads while others are located at the end of hiking, backpacking or horseback riding trails. They are not, in many cases, easy to access but are always well worth the trip.
The services provided at a recreational campsite are minimal.,Most campsites include pit toilets, fire pits and picnic tables. Some may also include a food cache, food pole, tent pads and firewood. Some recreation campsites are free of charge. And remember always pack out what you pack in.
