to get to Fort St. James: The community
of Fort St. James, BC and the surrounding areas can
be accessed by vehicle, float plane and by charter
planes.
By Vehicle: Follow
Highway 16 (Yellowhead Hwy) west from Burns Lake 172
KM (107 mi.) or 129 KM (80 mi.) east from Vanderhoof
to Fort St. James. From either community travel Hwy
16 to the Hwy 27 junction. At the junction turn onto
Hwy 27 and begin driving north to Fort St James.
Hwy #97 connects to Hwy #16 from the
north driving from Dawson Creek. Connecting to Hwy
#16 from the south of the province you will need to
follow Hwy #97 from Hope, BC (east of Vancouver BC).
By Air: Floatplanes
